On Tuesday March 04 1975, ABC television premiered what was to become a very popular, iconic film in the
annuls of horror and suspense, "Trilogy Of Terror". Presented by famed director and producer Dan Curtis, "Trilogy
Of Terror", was one of the few films on network television to carry the warning, "Due to mature subject matter,
parental discretion advised". For it's time, "Trilogy Of Terror" was a very daring and graphic film.
"Trilogy Of Terror" was not one, but three stories with the main characters all played by the same actress, the multi
talented and beautiful, Karen Black. Miss Black is a multiple award winner and nominee for such films as
1970's "Five Easy Pieces"(Golden Globe winner), 1974's "The Great Gatsby", (another Golden Globe win),
Academy Award nominee also for "Five Easy Pieces", the New York Film Critics Circle Award again for "Five
Easy Pieces", and many other awards and notices for her many talents. Miss Black's presence in "Trilogy Of
Terror", not only made the film possible, but also memorable, for millions of people.
Julie (Karen Black), is a repressed, plain looking English professor who is blackmailed by one of her students,
Chad, (Robert Burton). Chad thinks he is running the show in the affair, but little does he know what is in store for
him. In a turn of events, his teacher, Julie, has quite a surprise for Chad and the audience!
Millicent (Black), and Therese (Miss Black as well) are sisters. One good, (Millicent) and one evil, (Therese). After
the death of their father, Millicent reveals the truth about her sisters evil ways to Therese's boyfriend, Thomas,
(John Karlin). Millicent then shares her fears of being threatened by her sister, with her psychiatrist (George
Gaynes). Millicent must protect herself from Therese's evil ways using Therese's own witchcraft and voodoo
against her. What follows is a twist ending in this tale of good against evil.
